This is a Nambu Tekki Iron Kettle & Teapot, Type 5, New Arare Pattern.
It features a traditional, classic Arare (hailstone) pattern.
It can be used as both an iron kettle and a teapot.
As Nambu Tekki is handmade, each item has its own unique characteristics. There may be small holes (tiny pores or indentations can occur due to the casting process using sand molds), a central indentation (a slight depression in the center may occur as a mark from the core used to create the hollow interior), or uneven coloring (slight variations in color or reddish tones may appear on the protective oxide film formed during the kiln firing process). However, all items undergo inspection and are approved for use, so please use them with confidence.
